The SSA region requires all new personnel to participate in an orientation designed to launch their ministry off to a good start by engaging Africans. Early engagement of Africans will help you learn and understand the African way of life, their way of thinking, the challenges they face, their abilities, their worldview, and their knowledge of God.
Local African pastors and church leaders go with you on your daily field assignments, guiding you and partnering with you to learn how to connect with the African people. As you engage and partner with Africans, you learn how to live in Africa effectively, not as foreign outsiders but as foreign insiders. As you spend time with Africans doing the right things and avoiding the wrong things, you can play a pivotal role in nurturing a Church Planting Movement among your people group.
